Our Customer Insight Platform (CIP) brings together three key functions into an integrated suite of components, interfaces and datamarts:

  • Capture - detailed, accurate and economic data capture for the web channel. Including data on behavior, environment, content and experience from any browser-accessed application or web site.

  • Transform - pre-built business and behavioral models that convert this captured data into business events, customer and transaction records at detailed and summarized levels, with pre-defined, open data schema.

  • Deliver - a complete suite of reporting solutions, data interfaces and  customer, transaction and process-focused data marts to meet your reporting needs and drive your marketing and business processes.

System architecture in overview

The data is collected by the Dynamic Collection Client-Side Adaptors (CSAs), within the user's device or browser, encrypted and passed in real time to the Speed-Trap Collection Servers (which can be hosted by us or run by you). These store the collected data in SQL event databases, as session records together with all the environmental information (network performance, client-device data) you need to properly understand each visit and visitor.

Then the Analytics Servers take over - these run our advanced behavioral and functional models that search and analyse the event databases for the events relating to the processes, behaivoiur or functions you have defined by configuring the models via a wizard/form interface. This information is then published to summarized or detailed star-schema SQL "results" databases via a set of pre-defined (or custom) schemas/data models.

Alternatively the collection servers can pass the captured data in real-time to the Real-Time-Engines for instant analysis to drive real-time personalization or dynamic site applications.

You can access the results via our Dynamic Reporting tools which provides interactive access to the results via a state-of-the-art client/server architecture that provides charting, tables, interactive OLAP (pivot-table) functions, data export and automated e-mailing.

You can use Business Alerts to continuously monitor any business KPI or computed metric  we compute and tell you, via SMS messages or e-mails, when your applications, customers or processes are behaving abnormally, so you can react to changes in your business in real-time.

You can automatically build and maintain an online Customer Relationship Management (CRM) datamart, which provides lifetime activity and value information for each visitor - identified or anonymous - driving effective targeted marketing programmes. Add Speed-Trap's Real-Time Engine to this, and you have the perfect platform for dynamic content personalization and instant targeted messaging.

Our advanced BI Interfaces provide API's and data dictionaries to allow customers with in-house BI solutions direct access to our summarized, per-visit, per-visitor, per-transaction databases.

Alongside these capture, transform and deliver features are the administration and service management functions which allow Speed-Trap solutions to manage multi-terabyte datasets for sites with tens of millions of visitors a month via advanced scalable, non-stop collection and analytical server clusters.

For advanced users and OEM customers we also provide complete development environments and APIs allowing custom analysis and reporting solutions to be rapidly developed and put into production environments.
